<h4 id="what-is-legacybox-backup"><strong>What is Legacybox Backup?</strong></h4><p>Legacybox Backup is an older storage plan that keeps your digitized videos, photos, and audio stored securely online. It&apos;s no longer sold to new customers, but active Backup accounts are still fully supported.</p><p>Backup has now merged into the Legacybox web app, the same platform as the <a href="https://help.legacybox.com/en-US/what-is-legacybox-cloud-2526997">Legacybox Membership</a>, and it is becoming one of that membership&apos;s two plans: the <strong>Backup Membership</strong>.</p><hr><h4 id="what-changed"><strong>What changed?</strong></h4><p>Backup accounts used to have their own login page, where you signed in with your order number and email. That page has been replaced. You now sign in at <a href="https://my.legacybox.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">my.legacybox.com</a>, the same place as every Legacybox account, and you no longer need your order number.</p><p>Nothing happened to your archive. Everything you had in Backup is still stored.</p><hr><h4 id="whats-changing-with-backup-pricing"><strong>What&apos;s changing with Backup pricing?</strong></h4><p>Starting September 23, 2026, Legacybox Backup accounts become Legacybox Memberships, and the plan you&apos;re on changes at your next renewal. If you pay $79.99 per year today, you move to a <strong>Family Membership</strong> at the same price and gain the full app. If you pay less than $79.99 per year, you move to a <strong>Backup Membership</strong> at $49.99 per year, which keeps your archive stored and downloadable. You can upgrade any time in <a href="https://my.legacybox.com/account?tab=subscription">your account</a>.</p><hr><h4 id="&#xFE0F;-important-note-about-cancellation"><strong>&#x26A0;&#xFE0F; Important note about cancellation</strong></h4><p>If you cancel your Backup account, your files remain accessible until the end of your billing period. After that, you lose access to your memories online. If you want to keep copies, download your archive before canceling.</p>
